Pentecost aka Holy Spirit Day!

Actually I missed it myself. May 24 would have been Pentecost or Holy Spirit day on the Church calendar. This is when the Church celebrates the indwelling of the the Holy Spirit during Pentecost. In a time when many of us unconsciously think of God as distant-or the formal term immanent- this day in Church history helps us to remember the promise of our Lord to send a helper, comforter, and giver of life to indwell us and make us temples of the Holy Spirit.
